Leadership at the helm of Tata BP Solar

There's
a fresh breeze blowing in Tata
BP Solar, the largest Solar Company
in India and it promises to usher in new
energy and new dynamism in the Company.
Mr K Subramanya, formerly
the COO has taken over as the Chief Executive
Officer of Tata BP Solar, effective 31st
Aug.2006.
Mr
Subramanya has been associated with the
Company from its inception and has been
a key contributor in its dramatic growth.
As CEO, Mr Subramanya will be responsible
for leading the company in its exciting
growth phase and to expand operations.
Mr.Subramanya
has been actively involved in developing
the solar market in India and the subcontinent.
Solar energy has tremendous relevance
to India and the developing world to improve
"Access to Energy" for the communities
given the current and emerging energy
scenario.
Mr
D Guru has been elevated to the
position of Chief Financial Officer and
Company Secretary. Mr Guru was formerly
Executive Vice President – Finance,
HR and Company Secretary. Mr.Guru has
played a key role in the emergence of
Tata BP Solar as a high performance company.
Tata
BP Solar is a Joint Venture between Tata
Power Company, a pioneer in the power
sector in India and BP Solar, one of the
largest solar companies in the world.
The company is focused on designing, engineering,
manufacturing, supplying and installing
Solar Photovoltaic and Solar Thermal systems
that cater to both domestic and industrial
needs.
Tata
BP Solar clocked a Sales Turnover of Rs.434
crores in 2005-2006 with exports touching
Rs.312 crores, largely to Europe, USA
and Asia.
Tata
BP Solar is managed by an eminent Board
of Directors from Tata and BP Solar. Mr
Syamal Gupta, Director, Tata Sons is the
Chairman of the Company
